Ferrous Metal Scrap

HMS 1, HMS 2, cast iron and rail scrap — sorted, sized and graded for induction furnaces, foundries and re-rolling mills.

Ferrous scrap

Steel and iron scrap you can charge straight into the furnace

We buy ferrous scrap from industries, demolition contractors and dismantlers, then process it to the size and cleanliness melt shops demand.

HMS 1 (Heavy Melting Scrap)

HMS 1 (Heavy Melting Scrap)

HMS 1 is premium-grade heavy melting steel scrap with a minimum thickness of 6 mm. It is free from galvanised, painted or coated steel, making it the preferred feedstock for induction furnaces and steel mills that need consistent melt chemistry.

HMS 2 (Heavy Melting Scrap)

HMS 2 (Heavy Melting Scrap)

HMS 2 covers wrought iron and steel scrap of 3 mm and above, and may include galvanised or blackened steel. It offers an economical charge material for foundries that can accommodate slightly higher variance in composition.

Rail Scrap

Rail Scrap

Used rail scrap is high-carbon, high-manganese steel with a consistent cross-section. It is the raw material of choice for re-rolling mills producing TMT bars, angles and channels, and commands premium pricing thanks to its uniform chemistry.

Why melt shops source ferrous scrap from us

Magnetically separated

Overhead magnets and hand sorting remove non-ferrous contamination before baling.

Weighbridge certified

Every truck is weighed in and out on a government-calibrated 60-tonne weighbridge.

Grade documentation

Lots ship with ISRI grade declaration, photos and radiation-free certificate on request.
